In the third quarter of 2023, the US pet store chain Petco reached net sales of 1.49 bn dollars. The figure equates to a decline of 0.5 per cent compared with the same period in the previous year.
Sales of consumer products rose by 1.8 per cent compared with the previous year, while business relating to services and other products increased by 15 per cent year on year. Growth in the categories of consumer products, services and miscellaneous items was balanced out in part by business relating to consumables and pets, which declined by 8.8 per cent in a year-on-year comparison.
