ADM has purchased the remaining 40% of China-based pet nutrition company Invivo Sanpo that was established in 2017 as a joint venture between ADM and Tianjin Jinkangbao.
Jorge Martinez, President of ADM Pet Solutions, shared: “The industry in China and Asia Pacific in particular, has experienced rapid growth and development in recent years. Assuming full ownership of Invivo Sanpo will not allow us to offer some of the most outstanding pet nutrition brands in China to better serve a broader range of customer segments, It will also allow us to leverage our ADM innovation capabilities to provide innovative solutions to our customers.”
Over the past five years, ADM has made several acquisitions in the pet nutrition business, starting with its purchase of Crosswinds in 2017. In 2019, the company acquired Neovia for $1.77 billion, and in September 2021 it bought a majority stake in P4 Companies, which It owns four major pet foods and handles co-manufacturers: PetDine, Pedigree Ovens, The Pound Bakery, and NutraDine.
