On 31 August, the Czech-based Plaček Group opened its 300th location. The 370 m² shop is located in the Vivo! Hostivař shopping centre in Prague. The shop was built according to the latest Superzoo concept and offers also livestock such as aquarium fish, terrarium animals, birds and small animals. So far, Superzoo locations in Prague have been built exclusively in retail parks, the new location is the first in a shopping centre. It belongs to Immofinanz and is one of the first shopping centres to open in Prague.
"This new location is a big milestone in our exciting journey. This year we have already opened 50 shops and by the end of this year we will have about 25 more. I would like to thank my dream team because this is all thanks to them. They are all my heroes," says Dušan Plaček, founder and owner of the Plaček Group.
Currently, the Plaček Group operates 130 Superzoo and six Zoomarket stores in the Czech Republic. In Slovakia there are 62 and in Romania two Superzoo stores. In Poland, 52 Kakadu shops belong to the group. In Latvia there are 46 and in Russia two Dino-Zoo shops.
